BUSINESS NAME
FOLD-IT and GO, is a furniture shop different from the others. Its name consists
of three words: “fold-it” “and” and “go” that perfectly describes the uniqueness that it
holds. The word “and” emphasizes two words which are connected to each other and
signifies dual purpose. “fold-it” gives the idea of foldable furniture and “go” entails the
idea of portability of furniture. Meaning, the FOLD-IT and GO furniture shop offers not
only high quality products but also convenience because of its two distinct features,
which are foldable and portable. Aside from the technical meaning of the name of the
said business, it is also made short and catchy for the people to remember well and
easily.
The proponents came up with this kind of business, a furniture shop, despite of
the numerous furniture shops that already exist. The reason is that, these furniture
shops are mainly after on offering furniture with good quality at a reasonable price, but
FOLD-IT and GO, is not only after on the furniture per se but also to the convenience
that the people desire.
BUSINESS TAGLINE
The proponents came up with the business tagline “We find space”, considering
that this is an essential component of branding strategy. When customers look at the
business, they want to know what the business stands for and to be able to make the
brand more recognizable.
FOLD-IT and GO aims to give convenience in the lives of the people with the
furniture that they offer. The business tagline signifies taking of responsibility of the
others deliberately, such as providing innovative products that are durable and provides
comfort to the customers and can maximize space being limited or unlimited.

Go – indicates the word “go”. Meaning, one of the purposes of the furniture that
the said business manufactures/produces, is to be easily transferred and moved from
one place to another.
Supporting Details – green line (above and below), symbolizes the supporting
materials that is used in manufacturing/producing foldable furniture.

Yellow-Brown or Gold Colored Rectangle – represents one of the products of
the business which is table.
Plant – symbolizes that the business supports the protection of the nature.
Color Green – symbolizes the color of life, renewal, nature and energy. It shows
that the business is promoting the traditional way of making furniture.
Color Brown – symbolizes the color of the people, who are Filipinos, behind the
idea of the business.
BUSINESS CONCEPT
FOLD-IT and GO is not only offering typical furniture but also provides
furniture that gives assurance of having the experience of convenience. The business
offers furniture like chair, table, sofa and bed that can be folded, to maximize the
available space, and can be transported from one place to another. In short, FOLD-IT
and GO wants to make it possible for people to have furniture that is foldable and
portable. Considering the differences that each and every person has in terms of
preference, the proponents came up with creating a variety of designs of furniture that
will vary in color, so that people may choose whatever they prefer. Nowadays, people
tend to be more practical, so why not buy things that can be used inside and outside of
the house for the satisfaction of the desired convenience.
BUSINESS OFFERINGS
The FOLD-IT and GO will produce and manufacture its own furniture products.
Its concept is making foldable furniture like chair, table, sofa and bed that could be
transferred and moved to different places with less effort and could fit in to limited
spaces. The furniture will be sold to the public by the business itself, but won’t limit
opportunities to deal with existing known seller as part of its marketing plan.

UNIQUE QUALITIES
FOLD-IT and GO will introduce furniture in the market that is foldable like chair,
table, sofa and bed to help the need in space at home. Unlike the typical furniture,
FOLD-IT and GO offers as such that can help minimize the space that specific furniture
occupies and to maximize the space available in the specific household.
These two or more folds furniture are convenient to the people who will acquire it
not just for maximization of space available but also for easy transfer in cases of outdoor
activities. It is not like the typical furniture that possesses too much weight that may
hamper the needs for easy-move and easy-bring stuffs.
BUSINESS STRUCTURE
The proposed furniture manufacturing business shall adapt the partnership type,
as a legal form of ownership, with the purpose of dividing the profits among the partners.

Mejia, Ms. Solayao and Ms. Sumiguin. Each will have a contribution of Php 110,000.00
capital and will provide this through selling of their personal property and others.

INDUSTRY REVIEW
According to a study, the Philippines ranks as one of the world's best producers
of fine furniture, from the traditional to the casual contemporary to the highly
experimental. From its unique creativity and designs, the country sets the most
demandable producer in this industry. The furniture industry manufactures affordable
products of fine craftsmanship that is the successful result of modern technology
combined with human creativity and love of beauty. From its prime position as the major
source of creatively designed wicker and rattan furniture, the industry has successfully
diversified into wood, metal, stone, bamboo, leather and mixed media furniture
collections.
The industry utilizes wood, rattan, bamboo and other materials such as buri,
metal, stone/marble and plastic, which are creatively and finely handcrafted into various
products including: leg items for chairs, tables, beds, setters case goods such as
cabinets, desks, chests of drawers, kitchen storage units, combinations for
building/home fittings, shelves and ornaments.
Olongapo City is the location of FOLD-IT and GO; there are currently 19
established names of furniture shops in this city. The furniture industry in Olongapo City
is not yet totally congested, as of now there are six furniture shops that are already
taking aggressive steps by establishing its branch. Furniture is evidently one of the
industries in Olongapo City that is in a good and stable condition.

2.2 MANAGERIAL FEASIBILITY
HOURS OF OPERATION
The proposed business would have its regular operating hours which is from nine
o’clock in the morning (9:00 AM) to six o’clock in the evening (6:00 PM) for the total of
eight hours a day from Monday to Saturday. Then Sunday will serve as the rest day.
The eight (8) hour working rule will be strictly implemented and observed by the
business.

Proposed Benefits
All the employees who served in the business for at least one month are entitled
to a 13th month pay that should be received on or before December 24 of every year,
computed based on the monthly salary accumulated by the employee for one fiscal year.

Social Security System aims to provide protection for its member from socially
recognized hazard condition, such as sickness, disability, maternity, old age, and death,
or other such contingencies not stated but resulted in loss of income or results to
financial burdens.
The employee and his/her employer are to contribute for the social security
benefits of the said employee in accordance to a given schedule by the Philippine Social
Security System. Monthly employee contribution depends on the employee’s actual
monthly salary.
PhilHealth
Home Development Mutual Fund aims to provide its members with adequate
housing through an effective savings scheme. The Fund was created to address two of
the nation's basic concerns: (a) the generation of savings and (b) providing shelter for
Filipino workers.
The employer is required to contribute per month not less than P100.00 to the
employee's Home Development and Mutual Fund. In accordance to the periodic
remittance schedule provided by HDMF, the employer will remit this contribution, in
addition to that of the employee's, which is to be deducted from his/her payroll.
This shall be granted to an employee who has rendered one year of service in
the company, whether continuous or broken reckoned from the date he/she started
working. The incentive gives five (5) days of leave with pay, if not be used for a year, the
said five (5) days leave will be converted into cash and will be added to the salary of the
employee.

Meal and Rest Period
The employer shall give his employees a not less than sixty (60) minutes time-off for
the regular meal. It shall also be the duty of every employer to provide each of his
employees a rest period of not less than twenty-four (24) consecutive hours after every
six (6) consecutive normal work days.
Business Operation:

The business must have eight (8) operating hours per day for six (6) days in a
week.
All employees must personally log in and out their daily time records (DTR)
before entering and leaving the business premises in a central log book with the
presence of a security guard to monitor the accuracy of the records.
All employees must strictly follow the time schedule of the business. Five (5)
minutes late will be considered as thirty (30) minutes late and that thirty (30)
minutes late will be deducted from their salary.
All employees must be present ten (10) minutes before their time of duty.
Absence without leave is strictly prohibited and is subject for sanction.
Smoking, littering and eating are not allowed during the required working hours.
The cashier/sales clerk and the manager must be the only people who have
access on the cash drawer.
The manager and the production personnel must be the only people who have
access to the storage room.
In the absence of the manager during break time, the cashier/sales clerk must
consult the manager to decide for critical situations and is not allowed to make
decisions by him.
In the absence of the cashier/sales clerk during break time, only the manager
can take over to the duties and responsibilities of the cashier/sales clerk.
In the absence of the manager or the cashier personnel, or both of them, only the
partners may take over to their duties and responsibilities.
The cashier/sales clerk have the responsibility of taking care of the money in the
cash drawer, any loss incurred will be at his/her expense.
The security guards have the responsibility of taking care of the keys of the
business, except for the keys for the cash drawer.
At the end of every month, the Production Personnel 1/Leader shall report to the
manager about the overall status in the production.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness, safety and security at all times in the
workplace.
Bullying, harassment, intimidation and threatening are strictly prohibited at all
times.

All books and records of all transactions, including cash inflow and out flow shall
be kept to show credibility and reliability in the operation.

Materials, tools and equipment must be used solely for the production process of
the business.
Each personnel must be responsible for the tools and equipment individually
assigned to them for their specific work. They must also be liable for any
damages caused by them.
The production personnel must strictly follow the division of work and time
schedule for the production process implemented by the management.
The production personnel must meet the standard quality of the product and the
required number of products to be produced.

Step 1: Publish Vacancy. Through social media sites, job bulletins, job fairs and public
notices.
Step 2: Screening of Applicants. The manager will assess through the gathered
resume of applicants those who can do the job.

Step 3: Examination. The applicants who have passed the screening will do the
examination to test its capability and capacity in handling the position he/she applied for.
Step 4: Interview. Interview will take place if the applicant passes the examination test.
This is to see how the applicant interacts with other people and to see its behavioral
pattern.
Step 5: Evaluation. The process of choosing who among the applicants who have
reached the interview stage will be fit to work in the business.
Step 6: Finalize Recruitment. The chosen applicant must be informed about the rules
and regulations. The manager shall discuss everything about the system of the company
that will be of concern of the applicant including the benefits and salary. The applicant
shall observe full compliance with the needed requirements to be entitled for the

Prior to the start of operation of the business, hiring of personnel shall be made
through social media sites and job bulletins. The vacancies shall be posted in the said
mediums for it can be easily noticed by the people. Vacancies can also be posted in job

BUSINESS MONITORING
The attendance of the employees will be monitored by the use of daily time
record (DTR) and central log book.
The production process will be monitored by the leader of the production, which
is production personnel 1, and the by the manager through the CCTV.
The quality of the raw materials for production will be inspected by the production
personnel 1 and the manager, before placing it into the storage room.
The quality of the products being produced will undergo a durability test with the
presence of the production personnel and the manager, before placing it into the
storage room.

ARTICLE I. That the name of the partnership shall be “FOLD-IT and GO”.
ARTICLE II. That the principal office of the partnership shall be at #94 Gordon Avenue,
New Kalalake, Olongapo City.
ARTICLE III. That the names, citizenship and residence of the partners of the said
partnership are as follows:
ARTICLE IV. That the term for which said partnership is to exist is twenty (20) years
from the original recording of said partnership by the Securities and Exchange
Commission.
