Activity 1
A group of 50 students had their temperature taken before entering the classroom
to detect potential cases of COVID-19.

Prepare a frequency table that includes the following:
• Frequency
• Cumulative frequency
• Relative frequency
• Cumulative relative frequency
Answer the following questions.
1.Identify and explain what type of variable temperature is.
R= Is a quantitative, continuous variable since decimals can be used in the
temperature, there are no gaps.
2. What would be the level of measurement of the variable?
R= Interval level
3. What type of graph would you use to represent the temperatures of the group
and what would be your reasons?
R= I believe that in this case a bar chart would help a lot to organize the
information in a clear and presentable way.
4. What would be the mean of the temperature?
R= 36.92
5. What would be the mode?
R= 35
6. Make a bar graph to represent the distribution of temperatures.
7. If the normal temperature ranges between 35°and 37° how many students could
be potential cases?
R= 20 students
8. Use a pie chart to compare the percentage of potential cases in the data
sample.
