PROJECT PROPOSAL
I. PROJECT TITILE: Project MRF (Material ROOMcovery Facility)

II. RATIONALE
As the world is becoming increasingly aware of the negative impact of waste on the
environment, there is a growing need for effective waste management practices. To say the
least, Schools are an important part of the community and have the potential to make a
significant impact on waste reduction efforts. That's why Project MRF (Material
ROOMcovery Facility) was created to encourage the students to learn about proper
segregation and recycle their wastes inside their classrooms, therefore, we can promote a
sustainable future and educate students about the importance of responsible waste
management practices.
III. OBJECTIVES
 Encourage students to adopt sustainable practices.
 Increase awareness and knowledge about waste management and the impact of waste on
the environment.
 Reduce the amount of wastes generated by the students inside their respective
classrooms.
 To help students be disciplined in disposing wastes and learn proper waste segregation.
IV. SCOPE
This project is applicable to Grade 12 HUMSS1202 students of Calaca Senior High School. It
will cover HUMSS1202’s classroom which, if successfully implemented, the MRFs can collect
amounts of wastes from the school’s classrooms.
V. TIME FRAME
The project will start at March 2023 and it will likely end on July on the same year. Even if the
project has ended, students can still dispose their wastes to their MRFs inside the classrooms.
