AGENCY ROLE

PDEA Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency- PDEA is the


implementing arm of the Dangerous Drugs Board
(DDB).
NBI The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)
undertakes efficient detection and investigation
of crimes and other offenses against the laws of
the Philippines. The existing treatment and
rehabilitation centers for drug dependents
operated and maintained by the NBI
PNP The Philippine National Police (PNP) is tasked
with enforcing the law, to prevent and control
crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure
public safety and internal security with the active
support of the community
BoC To provide operational mechanisms to ensure
effective containment and interdiction of illicit
traffic of dangerous drugs and controlled
chemicals.
DepEd The primary mandate of DepEd is the integration
of preventive drug education in curriculum and
instruction
DSWD The Department of Social Welfare and
Development (DSWD) is mandated to "care for,
protect and rehabilitate physically, mentally, and
socially disabled constituents, for effective social
functioning"
