5. The world is experiencing scarcity of water. What is the reason behind this and how
can we solve the problem of water scarcity.

There is water scarcity of fresh water around the world because only about 2% of
fresh water on the Earth is fresh the rest is salty. Only 0.3% of fresh water is easy
for people to access, in places like rivers and lakes. The rest exist as ice sheets, as
glaci-ers and below the ground.
