Step 2: Open circuit, motor wires

Important Information

Tech Tip:

This measurement checks for open circuit (motor wires) in wiring harness between 7–pin connector and EECU
connector

or

open circuit (motor wires) in EGR valve motor/EGR valve motor wires.

Prerequisites:

Lower connector (EGR valve 2) on wiring harness box is disconnected.


7–pin adapter connected to the wiring harness connector only.
Resistance measured with multimeter.
Ignition key in OFF position.
Measurement towards motor.
