• Phenol Formaldehyde/PF
– Digunakan untuk produk yang memerlukan
ketahanan ekspose eksterior yang cukup tinggi
– Contoh: Oriented Strand Board/OSB, plywood
– Memerlukan waktu kempa dan suhu yang lebih
lama/tinggi dibandingkan UF
– Warna cenderung gelap  tidak cocok untuk
aplikasi dekoratif

• Urea Formaldehyde/UF
– Digunakan untuk produk interior , serta produk yang
mengutamakan kehalusan permukaan
– Formulasi dapat mengeras/matang pada suhu
ruangan sampai 150 0C (180 0C)
– Lebih ekonomis dan banyak digunakan pada produk-
produk komposit
– Warnanya yang terang  aplikasi produk dekoratif
