What is Simple Present
Tense?

Simple Present Tense is the tense used to

express an action or activity taking place or
happening at the present time in a simple
form, or activities performed repeatedly, or
daily habits, or acts that have nothing to do
with time.
 Function Of Simple
Present Tense

To express habits, general truths, repeated actions or unch

anging situations, emotions, and wishes.

Example:
 We go to school by bus every morning (habits).
 The earth revolves around the sun (general truth).
 I live in ternate (unchanging situations).
 I always thankful because have a great best friend
(emotions).
 I hope I can go to Korean (wishes).
