What is simple present tense?
Simple present tense is a tense that is used to state fact (facts), habitual action (events that
are repeated), general truth (general truth), or present (events that are currently happening).
The verb used in this tense is the first form of the verb or verb 1 (bare infinitive).
E.g:
• Peter goes to work by motorcycle. (fact)
• My friends learn English. (present)
• I drink coffee every morning.( habitual action)
• The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. If you mix yellow and blue, you get green.
The earth is round. (general truth)
