ENGINE-ER: A Job Search Engine Portal for Freshly Graduated Engineers

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:


Batangas State University, The National Engineering University, is a significant producer
of engineers every year. Finding your first job is difficult due to the large number of ambitious
engineers who graduate each year, particularly in mechanical engineering. Engine-er is a job
searching portal that can assist them, especially recent graduates, in looking for work prospects
quickly. This program also benefits every company nationwide, predominantly those who have
just started their businesses.
In any industry, labor is the most valuable resource for new and established businesses,
and recruitment and selection procedures are crucial. Finding a career that suits you and your
skills is essential to applying for your first job. With this application, companies can look and
choose mechanical engineering applicants they would like to apply to their company.

UTILIZATION:
Engine-er is a portal that can help engineer graduates to find a perfect job that can fit
their skills and interests. It will act as an online job application and interview platform so they
can apply for a career in their homes. It can also help companies hire them to pick the perfect
applicant that will fit their requirements. The application process will go through these steps:
- First, The user will be asked if they are an applicant or recruiter/company.
- For the applicant, there are designated questions to be asked related to their skills,
achievements, and qualification. Their answers or info will be generated as their
application profile and uploaded resume.
- Once the profile has been made, they will be asked what job they want to apply so that if
they match for the company's needs, the system will place their resume on the
company’s applicants list and will be distributed to the company that utilizes the
application.
- The recruiter will be asked a series of questions regarding the company to prove the
company's existence and legality. The information gathered will then be displayed on
their company profile.
- After creating a company profile, they will be asked what they are looking for then the
system will sort the applicants based on the company’s qualifications.
- The company will pick on the system’s suggested applicants' profile that matches their
needs. Then the system will notify the applicant they approved. If the applicant accepts
the company, the company will orient them on the process they want and for the job
interview using the information they put on their applicant’s profile.
