and in internal functions as well.

Front-end Development:

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, BIT PAGE 16

Front-end Development Intern 2021-2022

 A front-end developer is a type of computer programmer that codes and

creates the visual front-end elements of a software, application or website.
He or she creates computing components/features that are directly
viewable and accessible by the end user or client.

 The internship involved learning the concepts during the weekdays and
implementing them afterwards.

 Throughout the course, learning concepts advanced week by week in

accordance with current trends in front-end web development.

HTML

The Hyper Text Markup Language is the standard markup language

for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser.
It can be
assisted by technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and
scripting languages such as JavaScript.

Figure : Structure of HTML

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, BIT PAGE 17

Front-end Development Intern 2021-2022

 HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language.

 HTML is the standard markup language for creating Web pages.

 HTML describes the structure of a Web page.

 HTML consists of a series of elements.

 HTML elements tell the browser how to display the content.

 HTML elements label pieces of content such as "this is a heading", "this is a

paragraph", "this is a link", etc.

CSS

CSS is designed to enable the separationof presentationand

content, including layout, colors, and fonts. This separation can
improve content accessibility; provide more flexibility and control in
the specification of presentation characteristics; enable multiple web
pages to share formatting by specifying the relevant CSS in a
separate .css file, which reduces complexity and repetition in the
structuralcontent;and enable the .css file to be cached to improve
the page load speed between the pages that
share the file and its
formatting.

JavaScript

JavaScript often abbreviated as JS,

is a programming language
that is one of the core technologies ofthe World Wide Web,
alongside HTML and CSS. Over 97% of websites use JavaScript
on the client side for web page behavior, often incorporating
third-party libraries.

All major web browsers have a dedicated JavaScript

engine to execute the code on
user’s devices.JavaScriptis a high-level, often just-in-time compiled language that
conforms to the ECMAScript standard. It has dynamic typing, prototype-based object-
orientation,and first-class functions.It is multi-paradigm, supporting event-driven,
functional, and imperative programming styles. It has application programming
interfaces (APIs) for working with text, dates, regular expressions, standard data
structures, and the Document Object Model (DOM).

Released Versions:

 The Original JavaScript ES1 ES2 ES3 (1997-1999)

 The First Main Revision ES5 (2009)
 The Second Revision ES6 (2015)
 The Yearly Additions (2016, 2017, 2018)

ReactJS

ReactJS is a JavaScript Library for building user

interface.

React makes it painless to create interactive UIs. Design

simple views for each state in your application, and
React will efficiently update and renderjust the right
components when your data changes.

React (also known as React.js or ReactJS)is a free and open-source front-end

JavaScriptlibrary for building user interfaces based on UI components.
However,
React is only concerned with state management and rendering that state to the DOM,
so creating Reactapplications usually requires the use ofadditional libraries for
routing. as well as certain client-side functionality.

Buil encapsulated componenets that

manage their own state,
then compose them to
make complex UIs. Since componentlogic is written in JavaScript instead of
templates, you can easily pass rich data through your app and keep state out of DOM.
