Hippos are very big animals. They live in Africa. They are very fat, and can be 3000-4500
kilos! Hippos have their babies during the rainy months of October and April. They sleep
most of the day and eat at night. They eat grass and live for about 40 years.

In spring, it’s warm. The sky is blue. We play outside, or we help our grandparents in the
garden.
In summer it’s hot. We are on holiday. We go to the seaside, to the mountains or to the
country.
In autumn it’s chilly. Sometimes it rains. We go to school again. There are a lot of fruit and
vegetables.
In winter it’s cold. It snows a lot. We play with snowballs or we make snowmen. We go
sledging and skating.

We live in a nice house. It has two bedrooms, a living-room, a kitchen and a bathroom. We
eat and we cook in the kitchen. My room is next to my parents’ bedroom. It isn’t big, but it’s
comfortable. I do my homework, I play and I sleep here. Our favourite room is the living
room. There are a sofa, two armchairs, a bookcase and a small table in it. It’s so nice to be
together!
