Intro Activity

You and a band of alien space pirates have 5 hours before running into an asteroid that will destroy
your ship. You will need to make quick decisions to guarantee your survival! To maximise time, you
have been separated into pods of 4 (weirdly, they are called “Zoom Breakout Rooms” in this alien
culture) that are responsible for getting as many tasks done as possible in those 5 hours to save the
ship. Unfortunately, there is so much to do that the total amount of hours needed to complete all the
tasks is 10 hours, so some tasks will need to go unfinished. Because of your strange alien culture and
quantum physics, there are strict rules on what you are permitted to do.

Rules:
1. Your team can only work on 1 high-priority, high-complexity (Quadrant 1) or 1 high-complexity,
low priority (Quadrant 2) task at a time
a. All high-priority, high-complexity tasks must be completed or your ship will be hit by the
asteroid!
2. You can work on 2 high-priority, low-complexity (Quadrant 3) tasks at a time.
3. You can work on 3 low-priority, low-complexity (Quadrant 4) tasks at a time.
4. Travelling through quantum physics dictates that you must start and finish tasks during the
allotted time periods in between quantum jump periods. You may start and finish multiple
different tasks in the same time period if you have enough time to finish the tasks.
5. A minimum of 25 points must be scored to generate enough booster fuel to avoid the asteroid.
