Write a 200-word argumentative essay OR pro-con essay (you may choose) on the following
topic:
How do you relate the film and the characters’ evolution to palliation + to Kübler’s 5 stages
of grief: DABDA (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance)?
Do you see any parallel? How does the main character in Breath deal with his pain / trauma
and does he go through the DABDA stages? What about his family?

The film ,,Breath,, captures an inspirational story of boundless love based on the true
story of Robin, a handsome and adventurous man whose life takes a dramatic turn when
poliomyelitis leaves him paralyzed.
His grief is seemingly endless, he goes through moments of anger, denial, negotiating his
own life, depression and against all advice, his beautiful wife, Diana, gives him back the joy
of living. She brings him home, where her devotion and spiritual determination overcomes
his disability and sets him free. Together, they refuse to be prisoners of his suffering,
transforming the lives of others with their humor, courage and zest for life.
The story is a deeply emotional celebration of courage and human potential, where
deep friendship is rooted in honesty and the ability to see the funny side of life.
It's a love story, the superlative of wanting to live every moment as if it were the last, it's a
lesson for us all.
No disability, condition should not be treated as such, as Robin said, life has no
limits, it should be lived!
