Statement
Protests in many Indonesian cities have turned
violent as thousands of enraged students and
workers criticize a new law that they say will
cripple labor rights and harm the environment.
Mohammad Mahfud, told a televised news
conference late Thursday that the government
would not tolerate any action of damaging public
facilities and physical attacks on police and
community members.
The government is carry out legal proceedings
against all perpetrators and actors who ride on
these anarchist and criminal actions.

I agree with this statement because in our country
the governments secretly issue new rules that
make people uneasy, so it's only natural for the
protesters to criticize the rules that they feel are
troubling.
I agree with Muhammad Mahfud's statement, we
as good citizens must criticize the government in
an orderly manner without damaging public
facilities, nor carrying out physical attacks that
will lead to chaos.
I agree with this statement because the persons
who do this will be deterred if they are legally
prosecuted.
