This essay will expand on why good habits can benefit our wellbeing in many ways, specifically, our

physical, emotional and or financial health. In regard to this, a good habit that suits all three health
areas is the habit of having under an hour of screen time per day.

As stated above, this habit enables people to carry out other activities and task throughout the day
instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media platforms. This issue is only increasing with the
rise of new social media platforms in current society.

For example, in 2015, the new platform ‘TikTok’ was created and distributed to the public for usage.
In just under a decade, it now masses a user population of 10 million- 50% more than Facebook in its
prime. Furthermore, studies show that teens below the age of 16 are now having more than 3 hours
of screen time on their mobile devices. Does this seem healthy to anyone?

If this continues, our beloved next generation, and those who come after, will become brainwashed
by influencers, trends, and modern media in general. In addition to their mental and social health,
their physical health will continue to get worse as they will avoid physical activities and instead opt
in for social media.
