1. The researchers used computer assisted personal interviews which were conducted
by 111 interviewers working for I&O research. A stratified sample was taken from the
Dutch population register of statistics using strata split up by six different age
categories; three different geographical strata consisting of north, south, east and
west and two gender categories.Of the total number of interviewees that were
contacted, which is 3463, 1673 resulted in valid interviews which constitutes a
response rate of 49,61% (48,31%?).
