    Desert Island Survival – A Group Mind Mapping Activity

    This activity asks you to use your critical thinking skills in order to problem solve! Imagine that
    you and those in your group are stranded on a desert island. You may choose THREE items to
    have in your possession on this island. HOWEVER, think carefully about the items you choose.
    Ask yourself, can some of these items be used for more than one purpose? Could some of these
    items break over time? Are some of these items a luxury rather than a necessity? Also, consider
    the island itself. Is there a fresh water source? Are there any dangerous animals? Is shelter
    readily available? Have one person in each group select ONE item from each column & work
    together with those in your group to determine which THREE items would best suit your needs
    for survival!
