1. Reliance urges employees to register for Covid vaccines, to bear all costs.

Nita M Ambani, chairperson and founder of the reliance foundation, she sent a mail to all
reliance employees and their family members that to register the government of India’s
covid-19 vaccination programme.

She mentioned that the company would bear the fall cost of the vaccination for the
employee and employees husband, wife their parents and their children.

In the reliance Family Day 2020 message chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani
and Nita Ambani had given assurances that as soon as the vaccines available in India they
had plan early vaccination for all employee and family members.

She concluded by a quote that "Corona haarega, India Jeetega”.

2. Reliance partners with Google, FB for digital payment network bid.

India's conglomerate Reliance Industries has partnered with Facebook, Google and fintech
player to set up a digital payment network.

Last year India's central bank had invited companies to get successful in NUE (new umbrella
entities) (which is a proposed entity that will set up manage and operate new payment
systems mainly in retail space) and to create a payments network that would equal the
systems operated by national Payments Council of India.

And the group led by reliance and he was in the advanced stages of submitting their
proposal to the Reserve Bank of India.

And digital payments in India could rise to $135.2 billion in 2023.

As Facebook and Google are already partnered with reliance and own stakes in jio platforms.

The RBI this week extend the deadline for all parties to submit NUE applications until March
31st from February 26.

And RBI is expected to take another 6 months to study all proposals that are being
submitted and it is not expected to give more than 2 new ‘for profit’ in NUE licenses.

3. Jio launches handset offer to grow user base, turn market into '4G-only.'

Mukesh Ambani led reliance jio, had launched a new bundled offer to the customers to
handset(mobile phone) of up to 2 years of unlimited voice calls and 2G data per month.

The main scheme is in line with jio’s ‘2G mukt Bharat’ plan the teams to turn India into 4G
only market.

This offer comes in, as there is a competition in the telecom space, that has seen rival Bharti
Airtel added subscribers at a faster pace in recent month.
Reliance jio director Akash Ambani said that, as India has still 300 million subscribers who
are remain trapped in the 2G era, that are unable to access basic features of the Internet at
a time, even when the world stands up at 5G revolution, in the new jio phone 2021 offers
that will continue to take bold steps to eradicate the digital divide.

The offer is set that the customers would get a jio handset 2 years of unlimited voice, 2G
data per month for onetime payment of 1999.RS and one year plan with similar benefits that
is available for 1499.RS

End jio had started its own 4G enabled device in 2017 to push for the services and win more
customers and had stopped marketing bundled offers with handsets last year due to covid-
19.

it is adding customers at a slower pace as jio is the largest telecom service provided with 400
million wireless subscribers.

In the December-end quarter Airtel’s customer base grew by 14.2 million compared to Jio’s
addition of 5.2 million.

4. From RIL to Capgemini, India Inc gears up to vaccinate employees.

Reliance would vaccinate all its employees and their family members at free of cost, the
group has around 2,00,000 people on its rolls.

the company has returned to the ministry of petroleum to declare petrol pump attendance
and other staffers as essential workers who are to get covid 19 vaccine shots.

they were considered eligible to get the vaccine as they worked throughout the covid 19.

many companies like indigo, Wipro, Capgemini are providing vaccines and reimbursement
for Covid affected employees.

And upGrad, Amway also sponsoring vaccination for all its employees and their families.
