OBJECTIVE : this is for me to gain skill and knowledge upon providing a good
care towards the patients soon and enhance my capability to learn . through my
own experience as a student nurse .

On our first Day of Duty here in OPD/PEDIA the first thing that we do is orientation ,
since were not yet familiarize about how the OPD/PEDIA Wards nurses do to the
patients , here in our orientation we the group 10 divided in to a two groups together
on ours perspective area . so the first 5 assign in here in OPD/PEDIA where I belong
and the Other Group is on the OPD/MEDICINE . Here in OPD/PEDIA we are assign
to take care with the patients . our patients usually came here in OPD/PEDIA for
check or fellow check up . we take vital sign same as with the weight of each patient ,
because upon orientation it is very important to take the weight because the doctor
will not give a prescription if the patient weight is not included .as our CI instruct as
To Do and also the complaints of the patient , we learn that we need to take
everything about the complaints , when and how long it also include the complete
description of the complaints . we also instruct that we have to use a clinical term
upon writing a complaints and do not write a Doctors diagnosis on patient chart
because we are not allowed to do it . my experience here in OPD/PEDIA is very
helpful and one of most memorable day . why ? because I’ve enhance my capability
to interact with the children where I hate the most , I learn that here in OPD/PEDIA ,
you have to be more patience because taking vital sign of a infant , toddler and school
age is not that easy . because some of them is very naughty , scared on us . but this
helps me to think of a nice way to gain their trust to establish raport and promote
cooperation . this experience of mine here in OPD/PEDIA may help me to come up
with a critical thinking upon providing a health care and service towards in our patient
.

OBJECTIVE : this is for me to gain skill and knowledge upon providing a good
care towards the patients soon and enhance my capability to learn . through my
own experience as a student nurse .

On the second day of our Duty and obviously the last day of our Duty here in
OPD/PEDIA . were in this day we the first group that assign in the OPD/PEDIA was
instructed to switch with the other group assigned in OPD/MEDICINE . here in the
OPD/MEDICINE we encounter a lot of patient including adult , the same thing that
we do in OPD/PEDIA we are assign to take vital sign and complaints of each patient .
the only difference in OPD/PEDIA is upon taking vital sign because here the patient
is very cooperative and upon establishing raport that promote cooperation is very easy
but some patient ho has a trust issue may not easy to interact with , but as a student
nurse we have to gain trust , for them to give the information right . here in
OPD/MEDICINE we are all busy because a lot of patient coming with different
complaints . I’m exhausted honestly , but I want this course there for I should deal
with it and to be Honest I’m so Happy on what Am I doing . Providing service and
care with the patient make me more want to provide a good service . I learn here in
OPD/MEDICINE is Good Communication skill is must . because open establishing
raport is one of the nurse characteristics . there for my experience here enhance my
capability to learn and gain knowledge and also enhance my communication skills .
