LEARNING FEEDBACK DIARY

NAME: RABANAL, LEA ABIGAIL T. JANUARY 9-10, 2023

AREA: CVMC (PEDIATRIC WARD) GROUP 3D
CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR: OBERLYN BERBANO

Nursing student has a lot of responsibility because as a future health care

provider presence of mind and harmonious working relationship is important to give
productive and effective care for the patient. Especially we are in Pedia Area.

It was my first time to be rotate in Pediatric Ward under the supervision of

ma’am Oberlyn . Upon enter at Pedia I felt so excited and a little bit nervous because
maybe I don’t know what should I do or can I do things correctly when it comes in
handling babies/ pedia. First, we had a brief orientation about set up and routines.
She also discussed to us about blood components, 14 right’s of drug administration,
drug computation, medication card, frequency and time that usually use in CVMC.
Then afterwards we prepare medications and administered it.

For the whole rotation my experience was so good and productive. I’ve
learned a lot and skills that I applied. Such as must be alert in any situations
especially we handling babies/pedia, don't do anything if doubted, move faster but
be careful in preparing medications, Always explain to the parents what you are
going to do and assist them. It helps me boost more my confident. I was so happy,
enjoyed and feel fulfilling on my part because I’m part on contributed in rendering
care and to the development of the patient.
