Q1. What do you observe on the mound of sand as you pull the cardboard away from the other?
Some sand went to the bottom.
Q2. What do you observe on the mound of sand as one cardboard is placed over the other?
The sand converges.
Q3. What do you observe on the line over the mound of sand as you move the cardboard parallel to
the boundaries of the two cardboards? The sand slip past one another.
Q4. While doing steps 2 to 4, what type of fault did you observe and what kind of plate movement is
responsible for the creation of these faults? I observe that normal, reverse and strike-slip fault occurred.
The three main types of plate boundaries, which is the convergent, divergent and transform, is responsible
for the creation of these faults.

I think that it represents the different layers of rock.
Q2. In the formation of layers in rocks, what process is represented by this step?
Sedimentation and compaction.
Q3. What do you think happens to the layers at the bottom as you add more powder on the top?
They remain to be at the bottom.
Q4. What do you need to add in the set-up in order to solidify it? Salt crystals.

REFLECTION
I realized that life, just like rock a lot of things will happen.
Rocks determine time because it holds the history.
In this module, I learned most about faults and folding of rocks.
