INTRODUCTION OF SDG:

INEQUALITY: -
Inequality refers to the phenomenon of unequal and or unjust distribution of resources and
opportunities among members of a given society. “The term inequality may mean different
things to different people and in a different context”.

TYPES OF INEQUALITY
 Gender inequality. (Male, female, trans genders).
 Religion inequality. (Hindus, Christians).
 Cast inequality.
 Disabled persons etc.

“INEQUALITY IS THE ROOT OF SOCIAL EVIL.”

HOW WE REDUCED INEQUALITY:

Adopt legislation that protects the rights of all regardless of their sex, race, ethnicity, religion,
caste, gender, location, etc. Promote economic inclusion and enable people with disabilities to
fully contribute to society. Take action to transform our world so that solutions are more
effective and credible.
DISADVANTAGE OF INEQUALITY:
Inequality impedes economic growth.

ADVANTAGE OF EQUALITY:
Equality improves social solidarity and increases prosperity.

“WE NEED TO MAKE EVERY SINGLE THING ACCESSIBLE TO EVERY

SINGLE PERSON WITH A DISABILITY”

SOCIAL TREND:
The major examples of social inequality include income gap, gender inequality, health care, and
social class. Women in Pakistan also face other barriers related to gender norms when entering
the labour market, such as lack of access to safe transportation, lack of female facilities in the
workplace, and time constraints due to household responsibility. The transgender community is
one of the most marginalized communities in Pakistan. They are often shunned by their families
and communities at large, and live on the fringes of society. They face immense discrimination
and violence, both physical and mental. Religious discrimination in Pakistan is a serious issue for
the human rights situation in modern-day Pakistan. Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Shias, and
Ahmadis among other religious minorities often face discrimination and at times are even
subjected to violence.
*How can we solve gender and Religion inequality in Pakistan? *
1. Provide equal Opportunity (Parity)
2. Promote education, training and professional development for women.
3. Fundamental Rights of the Gender.
We can ensure equal opportunity and reduce inequalities of income if we eliminate
discriminatory laws, policies and practices. Among countries, we need to ensure that developing
countries are better represented in decision-making on global issues so that solutions can be more
effective, credible and accountable.

ECONOMICAL TREND:
TRANSGENDER INEQUALITY:
Minorities face the brunt of discrimination and inequalities. This community in Pakistan faces
several issues ranging from social to economic, and legal problems. Economic empowerment is
essential to bring the transgender community into the mainstream. The economic empowerment
of the transgender community, who are the most vulnerable as they are not even accepted by
their parents, is a must to bring the transgender community into the national mainstream.
Transgender people are neither provided equal rights nor treated humanely by their kith and kin.
This is what forced them to indulge in unwanted professions that were socially and religiously
forbidden. If we do not take action to improve their rights the economy might take a turn for the
worst.
AWARENESS, ADVOCACY, ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT:
There is a pressing need to generate knowledge about the grassroot level issues of transgender
people and the barriers to access to services such as healthcare and housing opportunities. There
is also a need for more dialogue and engagement with these communities to better understand
their needs and issues. Furthermore, there is a need for more awareness raising and advocacy
initiatives to create greater visibility for these communities. We can conduct research, develop
educational materials, and engage in community outreach programs and relevant educational
activities. We can also work to create policies and practices that are inclusive of all people,
regardless of gender identity or expression. By working together, we can create a better world for
everyone.
 Though Pakistan is known as a conservative country, in 2018, the parliament passed the
Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act. This bill has been called ‘a landmark’
and ‘one of the world's most progressive trans rights bills’.
 It allows people to choose their gender and makes it possible to have that gender
officially stated in their ID card. The bill also prohibits several forms of discrimination -
for example in schools and at work.
It allows inheritance for transgender people and enables them to run for public office.
Economic marginalization: The transgender community in Pakistan also faces economic
marginalization. This is because they often do not have access to education or employment.
Many members of the community are forced to beg or resort to sex work in order to survive.
This can lead to further social isolation and ostracism.

ENVIRONMENTAL TREND:
We must ensure that everyone is treated equally no one is greater than anyone each and every person
has equal rights we live in an independent and Muslim country where Allah says no one is greater all
humans are equal Islam declares complete equality among all mankind, regardless of one's faith, skin
color, language, gender or ethnic background. The whole universe is the dominion of almighty Allah and
all the people are his creatures. Everyone is born equal and will die equal we all deserve to live in a
world where equality matters. Equality matters a lot to get access to a life full of dreams.

We have different classes in our country we do not treat everyone equally which affects our
environment lot of richest people on earth owns half of the world’s wealth on the other hand middle
class is treated in a mid-way inequalities make environment horrible but what if wealth was distributed
among people equally it helps a lot in reducing inequality. Inequality can also be a gender issue where
women are paid less than male coworkers also sometimes women are treated better than male and
racial discrimination at work. Government should be responsible to spread awareness because people
lack of awareness which is why inequality is increasing day by day.

we all know that inequality and pollution are closely connected research suggested that inequality plays
major role in increasing pollution it is a fact that more unequal countries generate higher level of
pollution than their more equal counterparts so inequality affects a lot to achieve this sustainable goal
we must ensure that there will be no inequality all over the country because the more we have
inequality in our society ,the greater we witness the environmental damage because environment
comes first for the development of country.

TECHNOLOGICAL TREND:
Technology can lower barriers that people with disabilities encounter in their daily lives, such as
speaking, travelling, reading, and writing. It can allow them to participate and enjoy the
benefits of the digital society, with the same access to information as everyone else. And,
perhaps most importantly, new technology can allow people with disabilities to act more
independently from others if they wish (at the same time as connecting them with people
around the world).
Technology and social media can be powerful tools for women and girls to engage in
democracy, civic action and peacebuilding, as well as to fight for their basic rights and gender
equality. Adapting programming and investing in digital literacy for women and girls will be key
to ensuring that they can meaningfully participate in these newly opened public spheres.
women in conflict areas are increasingly turning to technology to build peace and reduce
gender inequality. Just as smart phones and mobile internet facilitate key functions of daily life,
they also bring the world women’s voices once confined to the home or marketplace. It is a
development with tremendous promise that the international community needs to support by
widening access to technology, reducing social barriers to it and providing training that boosts
proficiency.

CONCLUSION:
Reducing inequality requires transformative change. Greater efforts are needed to reduce
extreme poverty and hunger, and invest more in health, education, social protection, and decent
jobs especially for young people, migrants, and other communities. Within countries, it is
important to empower and promote inclusive social and economic growth. We can ensure equal
opportunity and reduce inequalities of income if we eliminate discriminatory laws, policies, and
practices. Among countries, we need to ensure that developing countries are better represented in
decision-making on global issues so that solutions can be more effective, credible, and
accountable. Governments and other stakeholders can also promote safe, regular, and responsible
migration, including through planned and well-managed policies, for the millions of people who
have left their homes seeking better lives due to war, poverty, lack of opportunity, and other
drivers of migration.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
 The first solution would be to reduce class distinctions among students by doing away
with the property tax as a primary funding source. This is a significant driver for
education inequality because low-income students, by default, will receive less. Instead,
the state government should create more significant initiatives and budgets for
equitable funding.
 Invest more resources for support in low-income, underfunded schools such as, increased
special education specialists and counselors.
 Promote education, training and professional development for women.
 Give women platforms to be in power and achieve economic success
