Journal #2
To 14-year-old me.
I hope that by sharing some of my insights with you on the physical and sexual
self, will be helpful to you.
First of all, I want to let you know that your body is wonderful and should be
respected. It has tremendous strength and adaptability. Never should you feel like
you have to hide your body or be ashamed of it. Having concerns and questions
about your body and sexuality is very natural. Investigate these topics in a secure
and healthy manner.
The second is that sexuality is a lovely and natural aspect of life. There is
nothing shameful about it. There is no right or wrong way to experience sexuality;
everyone does it in their own unique way. Be interested and take a healthy, safe
approach to exploring your sexuality.
Third, all sexual experiences require consent. This implies that the situation
must make both parties involved feel at ease and secure. Stop doing it right away if
someone seems uncomfortable or does not want to.
Fourth, you have control over what happens to your body since it is yours.
Without your permission, no one has the right to touch you. If someone touches
you against your will, it is referred to as sexual assault.
Last but not least, your sexual and physical selves are not distinct from the rest
of who you are. They play a significant role in defining your identity, but they
alone do not define who you are. Therefore, don't be scared to discover your entire
self, including your body, mind, and soul.
I'm hoping for the best for you as you grow and learn more.

Sincerely,
