Textile apparel & shoes quality, ecological and safety charter V9.4

Dear Supplier,

This document aims at clearly stating Carrefour quality, environmental and safety
requirements for all its textile apparels, accessories and shoes products.

These requirements are not fixed and will follow any New European Regulations
Amendments and Carrefour Policy.

Carrefour might seek for compensation of prejudices related to the non-conformity or

quality matters of any lot, even if they have not been identified during the tests and final
inspection.

The present document is the 9.4 version of Carrefour Textile Quality Requirements.

Carrefour textile apparel has only one quality level:

All Carrefour brands have the same quality level “Qtextile” (Tex, No Name,
licences...)

Carrefour quality & production departments will control all products ordered for each
season, through testing (fabrics, accessories, finished product performances and chemical
compliances) and inspections.
For inspection, AQL level depends on Carrefour brand.

The hereby document is to be signed by the Supplier and shall be send to Carrefour
quality dpt.

Detailed standards and requirements are listed bellow

3.1. Restrictive substances list according “REACH” (EU regulation N°1907/2006)

Carrefour require supplier to exchange “critic substances” from product into authorized ones. (candidate
substances of SVHC list have to be banned from Carrefour products), for each part of the finished
product.
List of “critic substances” has been fixed and supplier must test fabric accordingly.
By USING European dyestuff brands, supplier limits the risk of detection of “critic substances”, so limit the
risk of “fail” test results
CARREFOUR REQUEST SUPPLIER TO TEST 100% OF FABRIC, each accessory, all COLORS
(except “white color” on textile fabric: not to be tested) THROUGH FOLLOWING “REACH PACK”:

3.1.1 Pack REACH for textile parts:

Pack "REACH for wool/silk/cellulosic (natural (cotton, linen…) or viscose fibres) ":
Aromatic amines (22) = azo dyes (<30ppm maxi level)

Pack "REACH acrylic":

Pack "REACH PVC”: 10 phtalates (DINP/DNOP/DEHP/DIDP/BBP/DBP/DIBP/DHNUP/DIHP/DMEP)

Blended fabric must be tested with all REACH pack concerned (ex: for blend PES/cotton, pack synthetic +
pack cellulosic must be applied)
Polyplastic used for packing of textile goods must be tested with the “REACH PVC”

3.1.2. Pack REACH for leather, or plastic parts:

Pack "REACH PVC/TR/ABS/EVA outsole part": 10 phtalates (DINP/ DNOP/ DEHP/ DIDP/ BBP/
DBP/DIBP/DHNUP/DIHP/DMEP)

Recommended Spectrophotometer: DATACOLOR 600

DATACOLOR Spectrophotometer SET UP

COLOR DIFFERENCE:CMC(2:1)
APPERTURE:LAV preferred, MAV minimum
SPECULAR COMPONENT:Included (SCI)
UV:Calibrated (UV_CAL)
OBSERVER:10 degree
PRIMARY ILLUMINANT:D65
SECONDARY ILLUMINANT:F11
CALIBRATION:Every 4 hours, including GREEN TILE

Control:
Each measure must be performed when all production steps are finished,

Before each measure, the sample must be opaque, if needed fold it until you have an

opaque sample (max 2 folds/4 layers),

Control 3 areas on the width (left/middle/right),

Each area measurement is an average of 4 measurements with 90deg rotation between

each (automatic average done by the spectrophotometer software)

The ∆E cmc between the 3 area measurements must be less than: 0,5(under D65 and F11)
IM < +/- 0,3

Each area measurment must respect the equations:

∆E CMC (2:1) < 1,2 under D65

∆E CMC (2:1) < 1,2 under F11
Metamerism (D65:F11) < 1.0
With Carrefour approved lab dip as the color reference.
