Subject: "Stay Safe Online" Campaign during India's Presidency of G20

Dear Madam/ Sir,

As you are aware, lndia has assumed the Presidency of the G20 for one year from
01st December 2022 to 30th November 2023. The Ministry of Electronics and
lnformation Technology (MeitY) is the nodal Ministry for the Digital Economy Working
Group.

During lndia's presidency of G20, the MeitY will run a Cyber Awareness Campaign
titled "Stay Safe Online". The objective of the campaign is to raise awareness among
the various user groups on the safe use of social media platforms, informed usage of
digital payment and internet across lndia. Creating awareness among students and
youth about the safe usage of social media, e-commerce, online payment and other
usages of the .lnternet in Hindi, English and regional languages, is the best way to
save them from cyber fraud and online harm. "Stay Safe Online" campaign is an
effort in this direction.

ln view of the above, all Higher Educational lnstitutions are requested to conduct
awareness programmes on cyber safety regularly through quizzes, group discussions,
essay writing competitions etc. from December 2022 to November 2023. The MeitY
can provide the question bank for qutzzes, topics for group discussions and essay
writing to make this campaign successful. Any, communication in this regard can be
sent to vinodk@gov.in and ask@meity.gov.in.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
