DRAFT 2

Throughout our years of study, we have studied in a traditional way, getting

used to academic coexistence, however, today we have been able to realize the
benefits that technology offers us, starting with virtuality, which allows us to
study from the comfort of our homes. Virtual and face-to-face classes have
been important in recent years because both have had a great impact on our
education. Virtual and face-to-face classes have proven to have a great impact
on our academic life.
The differences between virtual classes and face-to-face classes are evident,
as well as their similarities; therefore, I must explain in detail in the essay.
1. Methodology, is an important factor in our education.
Our motivation towards the subject will depend on the methodology used by the
teacher and on it will depend if we can see the results in our grades. The
collaboration of both parties, teacher-student, is important.
Virtual class, if the teacher did not have interactive material the class was not
interesting. Similary to the face-to-face classes, but the difference was that, for
example, it happened that the students were disconnected from the classes
when there were no evaluations, having the risk of losing the course, while in
the face-to-face classes we had no option to withdraw from the class therefore
we were present until the class ended, additionally the teachers made us
participate constantly to keep us active, likewise to the virtual classes, we also
had the option to raise our hand.

2. Homework is an important element in the classes, both virtual and face-

to-face, because with the correct completion of the homework, we can know if
we have learned or understood the classes.
In the virtual classes we had difficulties to do the homework and receive the
review of them, because there was a lot of confusion, for example, it happened
to me that sometimes I did not know where to send the homework, or where to
consult the grade of my homework. In contrast in the face-to-face classes it was
different, because if I had any doubt about the class, I could ask the teacher or
even when I returned the homework, I had the option to learn from my mistakes.
Just as in both modalities, we received the corrections we needed, maybe not in
the expected time, but it helped us to understand our mistakes.

3.Socialization with classmates.

Socialization with classmates helps us to have a better communication within
the classroom because this has allowed us to have a better interaction in group
work.
In the virtual classes, the teacher said '' I will choose groups at random so that
you can work in groups''. then we had the option to meet other classmates,
discuss issue class, for example, very rarely I coincided with my group of
friends, while in the face-to-face classes, I always chose my friends to do the
work, that prevented me from meeting other classmates and learning from
them. Socialization in the virtual classes we were able to exchange opinions
and get to know different points of view in the same way as in the face-to-face
classes.

Analyzing the two modalities, there are significant differences between them, for
example the virtual classes you can have the comfort of having the class from
your home, while the face-to-face classes you need to attend a specific place.
however, they also have some similarities, for example both provide us with
tools to learn interactively. Finally, I have been able to learn from both
modalities, since both fulfill the purpose of educating to enhance us and we
should take advantage of it.
