a. What is the gist of the public service announcement (PSA)?

I believe that the gist of Public Service Announcement (PSA) is to give information to a
mass number of individuals. This is to let the public know what you really want to tell or to
announce something. Moreover, the given material or the video "Coke Philippines Did it Again"
was an example of advertisement which aims to influence or to persuade the viewers to buy their
product. But on this video, they have used a unique way of conveying message or persuading.
They have just focused more on the emotions of every individual rather than just simply
promoting the product directly which we have usually seen to other ordinary advertisements on
television nowadays.
Based on my own opinion, the gist on this video is to give or to leave that effect of
feeling like touching in emotion. That kind of sympathetic feeling to buy the product aside from
being just persuaded by their advertisement.

b. What Filipino trait/s is/are evident in the PSA?

On the video, the Filipino trait which is evident in the PSA is that one of the four core
values of the Filipinos which is “Maka-tao”. Kindness to other people. Being kind and hospitable
to our fellowmen has been a kind of character which is nature to us Filipinos, but not all
Filipinos nowadays has been consistent in practicing this kind of trait. Yet, this video just
reminds those Filipinos to be in a right track in doing such traits.
In general, we can’t deny the fact that Filipinos are also dubbed to be good in persuading
somebody. I think this is one of the Filipino traits that is evident in Public Service
Announcement aside from being Maka-tao.

c. If you are to create a slogan related to the PSA, what would it be?

If I am to create a slogan related to the PSA, it would be “Take a move; Let them know”.
As what I have said earlier, the gist of Public Service Announcement (PSA) is to give
information to a mass number of individuals. So, let them know something by taking some
move.
