    Hypothesis

    Ho: Utilizing celery extract as an insecticide will not be an effective means of reducing
    the number of insects present in the Grade 12 ABM classroom of Arellano University -
    Juan Sumulong Campus.

    Ha: Utilizing celery extract as an insecticide will be an effective means of reducing the
    number of insects present in the Grade 12 ABM classroom of Arellano University - Juan
    Sumulong Campus.

    Definition of Terms

    Insecticide: A chemical or natural substance used to kill or repel insects.

    Celery Extract: An extract from the vegetable celery that can be used as a natural
    insecticide.

    Arellano University - Juan Sumulong Campus: A private university in Manila,


    Philippines.

    Grade 12 ABM Students: Grade 12 students enrolled in the Accountancy,


    Business, and Management (ABM) program at Arellano University - Juan Sumulong
    Campus.

    Control Group: A group in an experiment that is not exposed to the variable being
    tested.

    Experimental Group: A group in an experiment that is exposed to the variable


    being tested.

    Research Design: A plan or strategy that arranges the different components of an


    experiment to achieve a desired result.

    Data Collection: The process of gathering information or data for analysis.

    Data Analysis: The process of examining, interpreting, and summarizing data for
    specific purposes.
    Findings: The results or outcome of an experiment or research.
