BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The purpose of this research is to investigate the potential of using celery extract
as an insecticide to meet the needs of Grade 12 ABM students at Arellano University -
Juan Sumulong Campus. Insecticides are an important tool for controlling pests and
maintaining healthy plants. Celery extract has been used as a natural insecticide in the
past, but its effectiveness has not been extensively studied. This research aims to
evaluate the potential of celery extract as an effective insecticide and to determine the
best application method for its use.

The study will be conducted in the laboratory setting of the Arellano University -
Juan Sumulong Campus. The research team will use a variety of insect species,
including ants, beetles, and other insects that can be found in the region. The insect
species will be exposed to various concentrations of celery extract and monitored for
mortality and other outcomes. The team will also investigate the effects of various
application methods, including spraying, dipping, and dusting. The results of the study
will be evaluated to determine the effectiveness of celery extract as an insecticide.

This study is relevant to the Grade 12 ABM students at Arellano University - Juan
Sumulong Campus because the use of insecticides is an important part of their learning.
Insecticides are used to protect plants from pests, and understanding the effectiveness
of different insecticides is essential for managing pest populations. Celery extract is a
potential alternative to more traditional synthetic insecticides, and understanding its
effectiveness could help students in their horticultural endeavors.

To successfully complete this project, the research team will need to consult a
variety of sources. These sources include books, scientific journals, and online
resources. The team will also need to contact local experts to gain a better
understanding of the pest management practices in the region. Additionally, the team
will need to purchase the necessary supplies and equipment to conduct the
experiments.

This research has the potential to benefit the Grade 12 ABM students at Arellano
University - Juan Sumulong Campus. By understanding the effectiveness of celery
extract as an insecticide, students can make informed decisions about pest
management in their horticultural endeavors. Furthermore, the results of this research
could help inform the use of celery extract as an insecticide in the larger agricultural
community.
