This rubric evaluates poems, songs, or raps created by students on the topics of performance and authentic assessment. It assesses them based on 3 criteria: content, which evaluates how accurately and completely the work reflects understanding of the topics; communication, which evaluates how clearly and cohesively the key ideas are organized and conveyed; and creativity, which evaluates how imaginative and original the work is. Each criteria is scored out of 6, 6, and 3 points respectively, for a total possible score of 15.

2. Communication • Poem, song, rap verses clearly and
consistently organized. • Concept(s) clearly communicated in title, 1-6 body of work, and lyrics are clearly heard, understood and performed. • Excellent use of melody, lyrics and or rhythm which enhance the overall presentation quality 3. Creativity • Poem, song, rap verses/lyrics contain 1-3 imaginative, original ideas and shows great creative effort. • Lyrics, verses are original and memorable /15
