Today I am going to talk about impact of technology in our life in future.

In a world where we are

surrounded by technology right from smartphones to Artificial intelligence to Virtual Reality, we
cannot imagine our lives without it.

We are going to talk about a technological innovation which is going to bring forth a monumental
shift in transportation industry ever since the Wright Brother’s airplane

The idea was conceived by Elon Musk when he proposed hyperloop between SA-Los Angeles which
is close to 380 miles. Musk projected that his proposed Los Angeles route would cost around $6bn,
or $11.5m per mil

A hyperloop is a sealed system of tubes through which a pod may travel free of air resistance or
friction conveying people or objects at high speed close to 700 miles per hour, twice the speed of
commercial planes and Fast, efficient and cheap to operate and have a lower power consumption,
least disruption, safe. Its 5th mode of transport other than road, rail, water, air. They claim that it is
quicker and cheaper to build than traditional high-speed rail;

n 2017, Hyperloop One began some of its first tests on the new technology, firing its pod down a
500m test track in Nevada which saw the module reach 70mph in 5.3 seconds.

Economic impact:-

Car sales will fall. With excellent public transport systems, fuel and car companies will struggle for
sales.

cost of R&D and building the hyperloop. Haven’t been done before and is bound to be expensive
with no guarantee of success.

making travel between cities easier and potentially unlocking major economic benefits as a result.

Promotes economic growth around the Hyperloop route

Environment Impact:-

1) Its immune to weather and disruption from earthquake

Hyerloop itself runs on renewable energies like Solar, Wind and Thermal power. So here we are not
using any energy out of burning fossils. Eventually there will be no air pollution.

Hyerloop runs in a nearly vacuum environment creating a frictionless journey which produces less
noise.

Cons:-

Big carbon footprint in construction (every mile needs a lot of building)

Social Impact:-
Hyperloop system will cut out a lot of the time consuming parts of traveling, like trekking to the
airport and waiting in long ticket and baggage lines. Supporters argue that Hyperloop could be
cheaper and faster than trains and car travel, and cheaper

It will solve the housing crisis

On February 22, 2018, Hyperloop One has entered into a MOU(Memorandum of Understanding)

with Government of Maharashtra to build a hyperloop transportation system
between Mumbai and Pune that would cut the travel time from current 180 minutes to just 20
minutes.[40][41]

Cons:-

Ecperience could be frightening

Land use rights are going to be a bitch

It has limited space in the train and hence people can not move freely.
