CONRETE WORKS PROCEDURE:
1. Compute the volume of the concrete member in cubic meter, based on the plan.
CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

2. Add the computed volume of concrete to the allowance for wastage (varies/ say 10 % foundation, 5% for others).
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING

3. Check the strength of concrete (“class”), then Multiply the design factor.
4. Compute the amount of sand , gravel and cement.

isolated footings.

ISOLATED FOOTING class A

Vol (F1) = L x W x t = 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.380 = 0.855 cu. m.

Vol (F2) = L x W x t = 1.4 x 1.4 x 0.380 = 0.745 cu. m.

10pcs of F1 = 0.855 X 10 = 8.55 cu. m.

2pcs of F2 = 0.745 x 2 = 1.49 cu. m. Total Volume = 10.04 cu. m.

Vol (C2 – T.O.F to Roofdeck) = b x h x H = 0.375 x 0.375 x 9.6 = 1.350 cu. m.

3pcs of C1 – T.O.F to 2nd Floor = 1.008 X 3 = 3.024 cu. m.

7pcs of C1 – T.O.F to Roofdeck = 1.536 x 7 = 10.752 cu. m.
