you have to register for it between 15th and 21st February 2021 (check

Hinweis: Das Angebot der Virtuellen Hochschule Bayern (VHB) ist kein Angebot der THI.
Studierende können FW-Fächer auch über das Angebot der VHB belegen. Zu Beginn jedes Semesters werden für die Studiengänge geeignete Kurse aus
dem Angebot der VHB definiert, aus denen die Studierenden im jeweiligen Semester wählen können. Werden in diesen Kursen Prüfungen erfolgreich
abgelegt, werden sie als Prüfungsleistung für FW-Fächer von der THI für das jeweilige Semester anerkannt.
Sollten die Kurse im jeweiligen Semester nicht über die VHB angeboten werden, besteht kein Anspruch darauf, dass die Module und Prüfungen durch die THI
angeboten werden. Dies gilt insbesondere für den Fall, dass ein Kurs aus dem Angebot der VHB gestrichen wird und die Prüfung noch nicht erfolgreich abgelegt wurde.

Note: The offer of the Virtual University of Bavaria (VHB) is not an offer of the THI.
Students can also take electives at the VHB. At the beginning of each semester, courses from the VHB are defined as possible electives.
If examinations are successfully passed in these courses, they are accepted by the THI only for this semester. If the courses are not
offered by the VHB, there is no entitlement to the modules and exams being offered by the THI. In particular in case that a course is
removed from the VHB offer and the examination has not yet been successfully passed.

Approach to the recognition of the courses of the VHB:

1. In each semester, the students select the courses that they want to take from the approved course offerings of the VHB and
enroll online in the course.
Please note: Take only the courses approved for this semester. Other courses won’t be accepted as electives!
Note: In order to be able to use the VHB courses, prior registration at the VHB is required. The courses are free of charge for THI students.
Access to the course program and further information can be found at: https://www.vhb.org/studierende/
2. The students successfully pass the exam at the VHB.
Note: Some of the exams take place at the VHB host universities. There is no adjustment with examination dates at the THI. This can lead
to overlaps.
3. The students receive a confirmation from the VHB about the successful examination and the grade.
4. The students submit the confirmation together with the signed application form to the SCS.
Note: You can find the application in PRIMUSS under: My Study -> Applications and Messages -> File an Application -> Transfer of
Credits. For professor please enter "According to list". You don’t need the signature from the electives-coordinator!
5. The SCS checks the recognition of the VHB course and, if recognized, enters the course in the sheet as an elective.

 FAQ about electives
Bachelor Engineering and Management

1. Can I also take other subjects as electives than those specified in the list?
No. You can only choose from the given offer.
2. Are the same electives offered every semester?
No. The offer can change every semester. There is no claim that the offer will continue. There is no entitlement to an exam being
offered in the following semester in case you have not taken an exam. Only if you have failed the exam you can repeat it.
3. Is there a waiting list?
No. The availability of places is limited in most courses. The places will be allocated in the order of registration. Since some
subjects are very popular, you should participate in the choice of subjects early.
In individual cases it happens that not all students attend the lecture at the beginning of the semester. Students who do not take
part in the first lecture lose their place and the lecturer can decide whether the place will be re-allocated.
3. Can I also take AW / FW subjects abroad?
Yes. If you study abroad, you can have suitable subjects recognized as electives. Before going abroad, please send the module
description of the subject offered abroad to the coordinator of electives. Your request will then be checked and, if the answer is
positive, you can include the subject in the Learning Agreement.
4. Can I have subjects from a previous degree transferred as electives?
Yes. Please check whether the content of the subject you want to transfer overlaps with a compulsory subject. If not, please send
the module description of the subject you want to transfer to the coordinator of electives. Your request will then be checked and if
the answer is positive, you can transfer the subject. (You can find the necessary form in Moodle -> SCS).
