The topic of my project is " THE STUDY THE IMPACT OF COVID-19


PANDEMIC ON EMPLOYMENT PERSPECTIVE”. Which provide solution for
campus hiring, Recruitment, Talent evaluation as per industry needs “VIBRANTMINDS
TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD.” Vibrantminds Technologies is a Recruitment and Assessment

The project constitutes the introduction of the organization along with detail of the product and
services. Further it tells about the profile of the organization which deals aspect regarding the

The project was taken with the objective to study the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on
employment perspective candidates.

The study was conducted at Vibrantminds Technologies Pvt Ltd Warje Pune. It was analysed by
using survey and observation.

 To study factors of COVID-19 Pandemic on Employment Perspective.

 To study Employment Perspective are going to change/switch the career during


COVID-19 Pandemic.

 To study the uncertainties facing to job perspective during COVID-19


Pandemic.

 To study what skills can be added to existing skills for placement in these
COVID-19 Pandemic.
1.2. Scope of the Study

The research was carried out to find factors which affect the Employment Perspective
Candidates. The study projects that Employment Perspective Candidates are facing uncertainties
in this pandemic. The research is to attempt to provide feedback to VIBRANTMINDS
TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. so that they can bring changes in their Recruitment and Campus
hiring which will help them to provide the best services in Campus hiring,Recruitment,Talent
evaluation.

Internship period was 15 May 2020 to 15 July 2020. Due to limited internship period PCMC
and Pune were targeted for Employment Perspective Candidates.

3.LITERATURE REVIEW

The project title is "THE STUDY THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC


ON EMPLOYMENT PERSPECTIVE”. This study examines how job behaviour
changed at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the weeks following the events onset. Based
on the event, we argue that the onset of the pandemic created a strong event because it was
highly novel, disruptive, and critical.

The COVID-19 pandemic is producing unprecedented global health and economic disruptions.
Currently, there is more opinion than evidence, especially in terms of understanding how the
pandemic is impacting job seekers. A small but important literature has shown that large- scale
macro events (eg Recessions) can shape employment perceptions. Consequently, little is known
about how the pandemic impact job search and what organizations can do about it.

The pandemic has effect on the employment perspective during the onset of these pandemic,
these created the rigorous test of change and immediate increase in the job seeker. Looking for
the new job is uniquely difficult during the coronavirus outbreak because many organizations are
laying off employees and traditional ways of hiring have also been less.

There are many employment perspectives that are looking for a job to start after graduation or
after post-graduation, but because of the pandemic the job search has become even harder. Some
of the job seeker is who has been recently laid off from the job due to these pandemic.

Goals:

The goal of this study is to see whether the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the job
seekers. The job seeker has faced the macro events of disruption, higher novelty and critically. As
focused on how the onset of COVID-19 led the immediate change in job seeker across them.

4. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

INTRODUCTION:

This chapter aims to understand the research methodology establishing a framework of


evaluation and revaluation of primary and secondary research. The techniques and concepts used
during primary research in order to arrive at findings; which are also dealt with and lead to a
logical deduction towards the analysis and results.

What is research?

Research in common parlance refers to a search for knowledge. One can also define research as
scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. In fact, research is
an art of scientific investigation.
A research process consists of stages or steps that guide the project from its conception
through the final analysis, recommendations and ultimate actions. The research process provides
a systematic, planned approach to the research project and ensures that all aspects of the research
project are consistent with each other.
Research studies evolve through a series of steps, each representing the answer to a key
question.

Steps:

Formulating the Research Problem

Formulation of the problem means defining the problem precisely. In other words, a problem
well defined is half solved. In operations research, we say that formulating of problem is often
more essential than its solution because when the problem is formulated, an appropriate
technique can be applied to generate alternative solutions.

Once the problem has been selected, the same has to be understood thoroughly and then the same
has to be reframed into meaningful terms from an analytical point of view.

RESEARCH DESIGN
Research design is a basic frame work. This provides guideline for the whole research process.
The research specifies the method of data collection and data analysis. The research design
specifically deals with the following questions

⮚ What sampling would be used?
⮚ Which instruments for data collected would be used?

DESIGNING RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS:

Depending on the problem various research instruments can be selected.

Questionnaire is a set of definite questions farmed to collect the required facts or opinions from
others. At the time of preparing questionnaire more stress were given on the following point to
prepare a good questionnaire.

- Type of questions

- Wordings of questions

- Sequence of questions

Questions are either open ended ,where respondent are given liberty to answer the way they
like or close ended in which standard or expected short answer are provided and the respondent
are expected to tick mark the desired answer as they think right.
The questionnaire method has following advantages:-
i. There is low cost even when the universe is large and is widely spread geographically.
ii. It is free from the basis of interviewer; answer are in respondents own words.
iii. Respondents have adequate time to give well thought out answers.
iv. Respondents, who are not easily approachable, can also be reached conveniently.
v. Large sample can be made use of thus the results can be made more dependable and
reliable.

SAMPLING PLAN:
The process of collecting observation from the elements of a large population may be
expensive, time consuming and difficult. It will be cheaper and quicker to collect information
from a sample plan of the population. A sample is a fraction of a subset of population through a
valid statistical procedure so that it can be regarded as representative of the entire population.
The valid statistical procedure of drawing a sample from the population is called sampling.

SAMPLE SIZE
All the items under consideration in any field of inquiry constitute a population. A complete
enumeration of all the items in the population is known as a census inquiry.

Once the sampling plan has been determined the researcher must decide how the customer
should be contacted that is through mail, telephone or personal interviews

Organizing and conducting the field survey:


Each respondent will be interviewed for the duration of at least 20-30 minutes. During the
interview a self-administered written Questionnaire was asked to the respondents. Keeping this
in mind the following points will be taken care of while asking questions:
1) Asking the questions exactly as they are worded in the questionnaire.
2) Asking the question in the order in which they are presented in the questionnaire
Processing and analyzing the data
After gathering the data from various sources, the researcher has to analyze it to sort out relevant
information. The unwieldy data should necessarily by condense into a few manageable groups,
charts and tables for further analysis.
Preparation of Research Report and presentation:
As the last step in marketing research the collected information/data and findings will be
submitted to the company and to the project guides, along with the opinions and observations
which the researcher experienced throughout the project.

Once the sampling plan has been determined the researcher must decide how the customer
should be contacted that is through mail, telephone or personal interviews.
Calls were made to the samples. Purpose of the calling was explained and also about products
and our company was explained and asked for appointment with the contact person. Contact
person was IT manager or the person who is handling the IT in that organization.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Type of research:
Purposive research has made which entailed a survey, it enabled to understand the jobseekers
are facing from recruitment perspective. For the purpose of the present study a related sample of
population was selected.
Sample Size and Design:
A sample size of 152 people answers the survey which was taken.

Sample element:
Sample elements were candidates who are job seeking.

Sample Unit:
Sample unit were candidates or the person who were finding the job.

Sampling method:
For this research simple convenient sampling method was used. As the area was large therefore
this method was used.
Research Instrument:
This work is carried out through structured questionnaires. The questions included were close
ended.
Data Collection:
The data, which is collected for the purpose of study, is divided into 2 bases:

Secondary data was collected through Vibrantminds technologies pvt ltd. website and through
internet

CONTACT METHOD:

In this project considering the time available, objective, and pandemic the use of the technology
by creating goggle forms were made. Google forms were made and shared to the samples.
Purpose of the Google form was explained by introductory message and also about Vibrantminds
Technologies course and our company was explained.

6. FINDINGS AND LIMITATIONS

● Maximum number of the responses is from Post graduates last year.

● Most of the job seeker candidates have 0 to 3 years of experience.

● Maximum responses are from the post graduate, where the minimum responses are from
the Ph.D. and MA Ed.

● Most of the job seeker candidates are not planning to outsource to a commercial provider
which can be our targets customers

● 22% of students are going to change mostly their careers in banking and finance.

● 63.8% candidates currently undergoing online courses or certifications during this


pandemic.

● Almost 70.4% candidates less job opportunities for fresher’s candidates these
uncertainties are facing in this pandemic mostly.

● About 50% candidates have right skills as per the company’s demands to get job and
49% candidates are working on it.

● LIMITATIONS:

● Limited Internship period (MAY 2020 to JULY 2020).

● As I was just an intern, Most of Job seekers didn’t given response because of there

routine schedule.

 Market potential of Vibrantminds Technologies pvt ltd is increasing rapidly, as the


organization are becoming more conscious about their recruitment and talent evaluation.
 As per analysis uncertainties facing during these pandemic towards the job perspective is
one main is less job opportunities and job to the fresher is less and preferring the
experienced.
 As per the analysis uncertainties facing towards the job perspective during this pandemic
is there is salary deduction and layoffs.
 It is fully proved that there is a huge impact on the job seeker candidates and are facing
uncertainties in these pandemic.
 As per analysis there is big number of fresher who are looking for the job as they are final
year pass out or in master final year.
 As per analysis there is more competition in Recruitment service providing company but
there is no other company in Pune region who provide Zero cost for candidates.
9. Suggestions

● Company should target the customer according to the problem areas.


● Many customers are Employment Perspective with Vibrantminds Technologies Pvt Ltd so
it can be suggested that these customers can be potential customers for the company.
● Comparison chart should be provided which would show how our Vibrantminds
Technologies is better than other competitors.
● Feedback should be taken from the existing customer and accordingly changes should be
