As a future educator, I will apply these six guiding principle wholeheartedly and

spontaneously. Stated in number 1 that Values are caught and taught. This simple
statement is easy to understand, as a teacher of elementary pupils, I’ll teach them not
just how to read and right but also teach good values. Elementary is the age he was still
shaping himself. I need to be a role model to them, show what kind of attitude a person
should have. I believe that what children see they imitate. I can use it to teach them
good manners and be a good person.
The next principle state that Values cannot be separated form cognitive
understanding although values and attitudes relate to the affective dimension. I need to
make the kid realize why having and developing good values is so essential. Because it
is a good thing to have excellent values, and because it is important for youngsters to
embrace and live by them as they grow older.
Third principle is a child may not be capable of understanding his/her true
personhood but can be taught to lead a virtuous life that early for him for him to develop
good character. True, children at a young age may not be capable of comprehending
correct values, but with the help of parents and teachers, children may learn to embrace
such values. Just like in the first statement, teacher has a big role in shaping children’s
values. In order to do that explain to the learners the importance of having values of
what it can do to have them a better life.
Fourth principle is Values are developed through learning and through practice.
GMRC and Values Education being included in the K-12 curriculum is, in my opinion, a
wise choice. As a result, I am able to constantly remind my pupils of the significance of
proper values and how they must be applied anytime and everywhere. They can
become a responsible person and citizen in our society if they grow up with these
principles.
Fifth principle, develop personhood in relationship with others. Good
relationships may also help with value education. To build a good connection, I must
demonstrate love and care. I need to provide them the love and attention they require.
They may show it to others if you show it to them. Especially to someone they care
about. Make the pupils feel as though I were a member of their family or friend.
Last Principle is An effective values education takes place an atmosphere of
respect, tolerance and genuine understanding. As a teacher, I must not be closed
minded to my pupils' conduct. If someone makes a mistake, I must speak with them and
help them comprehend their error. Because they are readily affected by negative
companions, I will counsel them. Lastly, I need to increase my patience and be more
understanding.
