FEMINISM: AN ANTIDOTE FOR GENDER

Feminism is a movement to
put an end to sexism, sexist
exploitation, oppression and to achieve
full gender equality in law and practice.
It’s an antidote for one of the common
illness of the society; gender inequality.

The fight for equality is a

matter that should concern everyone,
not just women. Fighting for feminism
is also fighting for gender equality. It is
not solely a fight concerning a specific
gender but it’s a fight concerning
equality of all gender.

In the different countries in the world, gender inequalities are always present where there are
discriminations on the basis of sex or gender that cause one sex or gender to be given privileged or prioritized over
another. Gender equality is fundamental right of every human but is it being violated because of the inequalities
and gender based discrimination. Women are usually the gender being discriminated and greatly affected by the
inequalities. They face violence, abuses and unequal treatment at the different aspects, places or fields.

The world rapidly changes but the problem in gender inequality never changes. It’s an illness of the society
that should be taken care of. It needs cure and treatment for us to have a better world. We need the antidote that
will counteract gender inequalities. Feminism aim to establish equality of all sexes and genders in the different
aspects like political, economic, personal and social aspects. It is the social movement towards liberation that can
be accessed by everyone. It is fighting for the women empowerment and the equality between male and female.
Feminism is not only concern about women, it is concern for the both gender, thus it is not only a fight for and of
women but a fight for and of men.

However, there are people who believe that feminism will only benefit women and thus we don’t need the
said movement. They would always stick to traditional that only a specific gender is benefiting. But that should be
changed, there’s that thing that would not only benefit one gender but one that is promoting equality of all
gender. Feminism is trying to cure and stop inequalities and promote equalities.

A world where everyone is equally recognized, respected and valued is the world we should create. It’s
time to work together towards a brighter future with equality at its heart. We should work together and let the
world be cured and completely healed from the illness it has for a very long time, we need the antidote for gender
inequalities.
