Subject: PROPOSED SHS PUBLICATION NAME, SEAL AND PRESS ID

Greetings!

This is to seek your approval regarding the Rebranding of the Senior High School Publication Team, as the
team has decided to establish a brand that is best aligned with the trademarks of NU Dasmariñas for easier
identifiability in the long run.

I. NAME

The official student publication for the Senior High School of NU-Dasmariñas shall be known as
The NUncio, derived from a Latin word, nuntius, which means "messenger." The counterpart of it in
Filipino shall be Ang aNUnsyo. Hence, the publication adheres to delivering news of and for the
students—to protect and promote the rights of students—while aiding in the exploration and passion of
student journalists with regard to journalism and in harmony with truth.

II. SEAL

The official seal of The NUncio bears the initials of the institution, N, and U. At the end of the name
is a megaphone, for the publication aims to amplify the voice of the Nationalians to address issues and
events related to them—our mission as messengers. On top is a quill pen, used for writing, to leave a
mark on our audience by making them aware of current issues and igniting a reaction or action. The
glow represents the determination and will of the journalists in honing their skills and serving the student
body through pens and other mediums such as cameras and microphones. The two waves are put as
parts of the double spiral, a symbol that signifies balance; it relates to the publication in a way that the
student-journalists weigh and consider all sides of a matter.
III. MOTTO/CREED
“The veracity of the gold and the blue.”

IV. COLOR

The official colors of the Publication shall be gold, blue, and white. Gold, as associated with
achievement and compassion, represents the desire of The NUncio to bring light not only to the
achievements of the Nationalian community and wider scopes but also to call attention to details and
events that should be known for the welfare of all. Blue, denoting freedom, imagination, loyalty, sincerity,
and intelligence, depicts the intention of the publication to strengthen their love for God, country, and the
community by having journalistic and artistic freedom while doing their duties with care and sincerity.
White, the symbol of truth and clarity, for the commitment of the journalists to always be for the said
values.

V. SCOPE

The NUncio is the official campus journalism organization of National University - Dasmariñas for
the senior high school department. It is a student publication that publishes periodicals and other printed
materials for NUD students and other members of the community. The NUncio desires to publish at
least 3 publication issues per academic year, one for each term.

VI. PRESS ID

The Press ID shall be in 3R size and shall bear the official colors of the publication. It will include
the name of the organization, the name of the member, and their position or category.
Respectfully Yours,

RYSSA MARIELLE M. AMERNA
