1.

Select a person or an object from a picture and make the background

transparent.

2. Copy and paste or place it to a new layer over an image .

3. Make a Drop shadow by double clicking on the layer with the person or object and
selecting “Drop-shadow” in the layer style.

4. Right Click on “ ” mark on the same layer and select “create layer”. This will move the
shadow to a new layer.

5. Select Edit  transform  Distort

6. Click and drag on the handles to make the shadow lie along the ground.
7. Choose filter  Blur  Gaussian blur
8. Make a ‘mask’ for the shadow.
9. Select back and white gradient tool and drag along the shadow.

10. Finally set the shadow to multiply mode and opacity of the top shadow to about
50% -75% and bottom shadow to about 30%.
