The Magadha Empire
Among the 16 Majayanapadas kingdoms,
Magadha was the prominence under a
number of dynasties that reached its apogee
under the reign of Asoka, one of the most
legendary and famous emperors of India. This
empire was formed after the conquest of two
adjacent kingdoms and had a strong military
power.
The Susunaga dynasty:
The shishunaga dynasty founded the
Magadha Empire in 684 a. C., being the
capital Pataliputra (near present Patna).
This dynasty lasted until 424 a. C. when it
was vacated by the Nanda dynasty.

dynasty NANDA:
The Nanda dynasty was
established by an illegitimate son
of King Majanandin of the
shishunaga dynasty. Majapadma
Nanda died at the age of 88
years, ruling most of the hundred
years that lasted this dynasty.
Vedic civilization is an Indo-
Aryan culture described in texts
composed in Vedic Sanskrit
(Indo-European language from
Central Asia). The origin of this
culture is not well known
The beginnings of the country:
In 600 a. C. there were sixteen
hereditary monarchies in the
plain between the Indus and
Ganges rivers stretching from
Afghanistan to Bangladesh.
the Maurya dynasty:
In 321 a. C., the exiled general
Chandragupta Maurya
overthrew King Dhana Nanda,
setting the Mauryan Empire.
Chandragupta was succeeded
by his son Bindusara, who
expanded the empire to come
to dominate most of the
subcontinent
 In the third millennium. C.,
several Neolithic cultures spread
in what is now Pakistan and
northwest of the Republic of
India.

Paleolithic era, the Neolithic
Age, the Bronze Age, and
Vedic era.
Paleolithic era
India was populated by hominids
Homo erectus among them from
Africa some 500,000 years.about 75
000 years ago they entered the first
families of Homo sapiens (human).
During the first
millennium. C., the Vedic
Aryans swept the Punjab
and the Gangetic plain (in
northern India).

the Neolithic Age
The Neolithic culture in South Asia
began roughly to the seventh
millennium BC. BC in what is now
Baluchistan (in Pakistan) and is
known as the Mehrgarh culture
At the beginning of the period of
the Middle Kingdoms, Northern
India was dominated by the
Aryans, while in the south was
prominent Dravidian culture.
British invasion of India begins in
the seventeenth century and
reached its peak in 1857. The
independence resulted in the
division of the British Raj in three
countries: India, Pakistan and
Bangladesh.

The transition between farming
communities to more complex
urban communities began
between the period of Mehrgarh
and 3000. C. This period marked
the beginning of an urban society
