ISTE Objectives: Students will select a platform to complete a powerpoint of
their selected philosopher. Students will create a slideshow presentation on
their selected pjilosopher.

Differentiation My classroom includes students who are auditory learners, visual learners,
Strategies kinesthetic learners, and students with special needs.
Auditory/Visual: Part of this lesson will consist of lecture and youtube
presentation on the scientific revolution and the scientist involved in this era.
Kiesthetic: Part of this lesson will require students to create a Venn-Diagram on
philosophies, ideologies, and the people associated with these from this era.
Special Needs: students will receive differentiated asssignments that will
address the standards and objectives presented in this lesson.

E Description

Engagement In this lesson, I will address all of my student with differentiation strategies. First
a lecture will be given on key scientist and philosophers of the scientific
revolution and the age of enlightenment. Next the use of an interactive tv will be
used to present a youtube video that is age appropriate and lists key scientist
and philosopher and their contributions to this era. Next, kinesthetic learners will
create Venn-Diagrams on the subject matter of this lesson. Students with special
needs will be given a reading comprehension packet on their grade level on this
subject matter.

Engagement Students will login in to Kahoot on their individual devices. Where they will take a
Assessment quiz from the youtube presentation that was presented earlier in the lesson.

Exploration At this point in the lesson students will partake in a friendly debate on opposing
philosophies and ideologies of the age of enlightenment. This will allow for
students to build their own understanding of the philosophies and contributions
of philosophers in this era.

Exploration Students will divide up into groups of 3-4 and create a Prezi presentation on a
Assessment philosopher that the teacher as assigned to the group.

Explanation Vocabulary needed: heliocentric, Newtonian Physics, empirical knowledge

Elaboration Students will create a youtube account and create a presentation on a topic
assigned to them from the age of enlightment or the scientific revolutiuon. This
presentation must be at least two minutes long and include their own ideology on
the topic

requires students to create a technology product (webpage, blog, brochure,
game, etc.) to demonstrate their understanding of the content taught. Avoid
