Importance of Incorporating multimedia into educational projects offers a multifaceted


Technology approach to learning, catering to diverse learning styles while enhancing
understanding, engagement, and retention of information. The students need
to use the multimedia of videos so they can enhance their skills in
broadcasting their knowledge.
Internet Safety and Some possible safety concerns with this project would the privacy of the
Student Privacy students. In my example, I did upload to YouTube, but for the students, they
will just will a file. Also in my example, I did show my face, but the students
will not have to unless if the video is only used for the classroom and
classroom only.
Universal Design Engagement: It captures and maintains students' attention better than
Rationale traditional text-based learning. Videos, images, animations, and interactive
elements can make learning more interesting and engaging.

Enhanced Understanding: Multimedia can present complex concepts in a


more accessible way. Visual aids, such as diagrams and infographics, can
help clarify difficult topics, making them easier to comprehend.

Catering to Different Learning Styles: People have various learning styles—


some are visual learners, others auditory or kinesthetic. Multimedia allows
educators to address these diverse needs by incorporating visuals, audio,
and interactive elements, ensuring a more inclusive learning environment.
Lesson Idea The students will have the task of researching one element and making a
presentation on it. It has to be in the form of a video, but they can use a
presentation and film it. This assignment shouldn’t take too long as it is only
over one element, so roughly the students will only need a week. This will be
given towards the middle of the unit after going over the properties of the
periodic table.
Researching an element from the periodic table is an engaging educational
journey that sparks curiosity and deepens understanding. Students dive into
the world of chemistry, exploring the history, properties, and applications of
their chosen element. Through diligent research and thoughtful organization,
they uncover fascinating facts about its discovery, its role in various
industries, and its significance in our everyday lives. As they craft their
presentations, incorporating visuals and comprehensive information, students
not only enhance their knowledge of the element but also hone their
research, critical thinking, and presentation skills. This project illuminates the
intricate tapestry of elements in the periodic table, instilling a profound
appreciation for the diverse building blocks of our world.

Design Reflection I believe the lesson was designed to better the creativity of the students.
Hypothetically this would be in the middle of the unit, but to enhance it,
maybe they could merge a simulation (which could also be filmed) that
explains more about how their element is used in the world.
