Generally, this study aims to answer the question, “What are
the taboo words and euphemisms used by Grade 7 Regular and
Science Class students?”
Specifically, this study aims to satisfy the following
questions:
1. What are the respondents in terms of:
a. Age
b. Sex
2. What are the different taboo words and euphemistic words
that the Grade 7 students use when talking with:
a. Peers/ Friend
b. Neighbors
c. Parents
d. Teachers
e. Non-teaching staff
3. Do make female and male differ on the use of euphemism and
taboo words?

affects the way language learners’ use language when they
write and communicate.
