This document presents three proposed topics for a Master's thesis:
1. The first topic aims to improve the reading skills of slow readers and at-risk second grade students through a phonics approach. It seeks to answer how reading abilities can be improved and measure recognition levels before and after the phonics approach.
2. The second topic uses a one-on-one teaching approach to improve reading abilities of non-reading first grade students. It examines percentages of non-readers before and after the approach and any difference in reading abilities.
3. The third topic determines factors affecting student motivation for learning. It identifies perceived motivational factors and what teachers can do to foster student motivation and achievement.

THREE PROPOSED TOPICS
1. Title : IMPROVING THE READING SKILLS OF GRADE TWO PUPILS OF KABUGAWAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THROUGH PHONICS APPROACH
Statement of the Problem
This action research aimed to improve the reading
abilities of slow readers and reader-at-risk Grade Two pupils in Kabugawan Elementary School for the school year 2022-2023 through phonics approach. This will provide necessary remedial measures to correct and improve the reading potentials of these pupils. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:
1. How can I improve the reading abilities of my slow
readers and reader-at-risk pupils relative to the identified reading difficulties?
2. What is the recognition level of each group of pupils
after the phonics approach is used?
3. What is the significant difference between the pre-test
scores in word recognition of the pupils?
2. Title : ONE ON ONE APPROACH: ITS EFFECT TO GRADE ONE NON-
READERS OF KABUGAWAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to improve the reading abilities of Grade 1 non-readers of Kabugawan Elementary School this school year 2022-2023 through One on One Approach. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following sub-problems: 1. What is the percentage of Grade 1 non-readers in Kabugawan Elementary School before applying the One on One Approach?
2. What is the percentage of Grade 1 non-readers in Kabugawan
Elementary School after applying One on One Approach?
3. What is the difference after applying the One on One
Approach to the Grade 1 non-readers of Kabugawan Elementary School? 3. Title : PERCEIVED FACTORS AFFECTING STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION ON LEARNING
Statement of the Problem
Generally, this study determined the factors affecting students’ motivation on learning. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following: 1. What are the perceived factors affecting the student’s motivation on learning? 2. What can teachers do to foster student motivation for achievement?
