Statement of the The main purpose of this study is to plan ways and means of

Specifically, it will seek to answer the following questions:

1. What are the causes of poor comprehension among Grade

Two Pupils?
2. What factors affect the understanding of pupils?
3. What strategies or alternatives can be used to improve the
comprehension skill of the pupil?

Research Design: Quantitative Research

Target Respondents: Grade 2 pupils and Teachers

Statistical Treatment to a. Weighted mean- to assess the reading comprehension

Used: level of learners based on their responses to the prepared
questionnaire.
b. T-Test for Mean Difference- to calculate the significant
difference of the reading performance and comprehension
of grade 2 pupils.
