Seat Work #1: Ethics and Politics

1. Why are ethics important in Politics?

It is important in politics because it serves as the guide of leaders on how to govern its

people right. It guides the leaders to do what is right and avoiding what is wrong. There

judgments, political action must for the goodness of there people not for the goodness of

themselves. A good leader must be flexible in making decision and doing actions. Leaders should

be ethically discipline, avoiding doing bad things for the people. They must be the role model in

its people, helping its people and lifting them up. They must have clear ethical standards, they

must be transparent in making decisions, public and private sector interaction and etc. They are

given the power of citizen to govern them right.

2. Can you give me a few of the most Political Ethics or Personal Ethics that should be possess or

be shared by many leaders?

As a leader, you should have possessed the following; honesty and integrity, must be a

Good Decision Maker, a man with a vision and purpose, can be able to inspire others

and can listen to its people. A good leader should prioritize its people, avoid corruption

and be able to help those who are in needs.
