Feminism

1. Intro (small sketch + tell when you became a feminist and

Emma’s quote “If not me, who? If not now, When?”) {MK}
2. Definition of Feminism {MK}
3. Causes of differentiating between sexes:
-People, men in specific, believing that women are just for
domestic use.
-This close-minded idea of sexism being inherited by
generations.
- EVEN Political and social LAWS in a lot of countries include
discrimination between sexes such as work payment, heritage,
gaining nationality and family name, and a lot of other sexist
laws… {Ali}… explain briefly but clearly…
4. Effects of discriminating between genders:
-Sexual harassment and raping to females more than males.
-Disrespect and other social conflicts that females encounter in
society leading to depression and decrease in population of
women.
-It also results into having less opportunities and authorities in
economy, society, sexuality and simply in life. For example,
some laws state that by heritage a man Is equal to two
women!! {Ali}… explain briefly but clearly…
5. And Here Are the most sexist countries in the world, or in
other words, the most countries that the problem of sexual
discriminating is critical in: {Ali}
1) Saudi Arabia
2) Yemen
3) Chad
4) Iran
5) Pakistan
6) India
7) Syria
8) U.S.A
9) Nigeria
10) Maldives
6. Discuss some solutions mentioned in the speech such as
neglecting gender while taking decisions and talking, stand up
for gender inequality, both men and women should feel free to
express, and that we should define ourselves and others by
who we and they are, and not by what we and they aren’t.
{MK}
7. When it comes to my perspective towards this subject, I,
simply, wouldn’t agreed to talk about feminism today and how
women are suffering from this devastating situation of sexism.
It really pains me to find that no one country has still achieved
gender equality and it pains me more to know that most of
human-kind population still neglect feminism. So, I wish today
that our voices will be heard by YOU and not else other than
YOU because YOU are the ones that can make change starting
by our class. {ALI}
8. Discuss how there were 98% supporters when asked directly
and how they lessened to 7% after falling in the trap and
asking indirectly. 2% to 93% disapprovers. We must support
feminism by our acts, and not just by our words. It doesn’t
matter to say that you support gender equality but still too
fond that a mechanical engineer or a heart surgeon can be a
female. It doesn’t matter to say that you support gender
equality but still agree that women should get a lower work
payment than men while performing the same job. It doesn’t
matter to say that you support gender equality but still
disrespect and humiliate females and believe that they are for
domestic use. It doesn’t matter to say that you support gender
equality but still say nothing to laws stated, in our country, that
excuse a raper if he marries the girl he raped even if her age is
as low as 12! It doesn’t matter to say that you support gender
equality but you’d still slap the male and not the female, but
you still take gender in consideration! so I tell you, the world
isn’t seeing progress if females aren’t accepted. Let me end it
by what Emma Watson said and let it always be recalled
whenever you try to speak up something and then try to judge
according to gender, “How can we affect the change in the
world when only half of it is invited or feel welcomed to
participate?”
