Nowadays, it is undeniable that children tend to watch more TV programs than they did in the

past and spend less time on physical and creative activities. This phenomenon is attributed to
several driving factors but many viable measures can be adopted to remedy the situation.
There are two major culprits for changing children’s interest. First of all, youngsters are likely to
pay attention to dynamic and fictional things which can be vividly performed through television.
For example, a host of children find it is more interesting to spend their free time to watch all
time favorite cartoon series than play chess or take part in outdoor activities. Secondly, lack of
space for adolescents to play and develop is also to blame. For instance, children growing up in
metropolis wouldn’t easily can access to open area to play physical activities and discover the
world around them. Such reasons lead to the changing habit in children.
To solve the aforementioned situation, some feasible measures need to be implemented.
One is that parents should limit the time of watching TV to their children and encourage them
to spend more time on active and creative games. To exemplify, parents can manage more
interesting and educative games to play with their kids . In addition to this, children should be
aware that if they spend so much time on television instead of physical and creative things,
their thinking logic, concentration skill will be reduced considerably. Last but not least,
government should construct more entertainment facilities especially in metropolis and schools
should organize more extracurricular in order to stimulate children’s social skills.
In conclusion, I hope that aforementioned solutions would remedy the situation and encourage
children to be more active and creative.
