IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL SPORTS


Now a days due to excessive use of smart phone (Inc. social media, internet and gaming) and
other electronic devices that are making our lives type of restricted to our immediate
surroundings and our health has became 2nd priority to us.
Following points reflect importance of physical sports:
1. In olden times people had long lives, healthy living, exemplary social behavior and long
lasting relationships which were just an outcome of their way of living.
2. Physical sports not only improve our physical health but mental-well being too as it is said
“when body moves, mind rests”.
3. Make a person attentive, focused and boosts self-confidence and creativity.
4. Improve social behavior and improves communication skills, social skills, team building skills
and management skills too.
5. Saves against many chronic diseases, mental diseases and cardiovascular diseases that are
outcome of lazy and non-social living.
6. Gives a sense of accomplishment and self-growth.
7. Reduces stress, anxiety and saves against big mental problems.
8. Helps in developing strong work ethic and persistence that is an important feature of a
successful personality.
9. Provides a healthy outlet for competitiveness and ambition.
10. Provides an opportunity to make mistakes and learn from them and gives a sense and way
of management of success and failure that are two important aspects of a normal living.
