I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson students should be able to:
1. identifies the source of sounds e.g. winds, waves, swaying of the trees, animal sounds, sounds produced by
machines, transportation.
2. identifies the common musical instruments by their sounds and image
replicates different sources of sounds with body movements
III. Procedure:
A. Daily Routinary activities:
1. Opening prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance
4. Classroom management
5. Closing prayer
B. Motivation:
Present the video clips and observe what is the difference sound of animals tell to us what do you see
and what the sounds of this.
C. Lesson proper:
Discuss about the Differentiation in sound quality
D. Application
Quality of sounds
Different sounds are made and heard all around us. Each sounds produces a unique or special quality.
Example:
The quality of sound in music is called timbre or tone. Timbre is what differentiates a musical sound from
another even when they have the same pitch and loudness.
We hear sounds from the following sources:
People
Animals
Nature
Objects
Vechicle
Air transportation
Musical instruments
E. Generalization:
What did you learn about our topic for today.
IV. Evaluation:
Identify the sources of sound. Write P for people, A for animals, N for nature, O for objects and MI for
musical instruments. Write your answer in your notebook.
V. Assignment
In your assignment draw a picture of different sources that we hear a sounds.
